Demolition Site Clean-Up

Site clean-up work including moving, hauling, and disposal of waste and materials after demolition.

Demolition site clean-up project

Project overview

Canadian Shield Consultants supported demolition site clean-up, including moving, hauling, and disposal of waste and materials, at a demolished community church site in Greater Sudbury.

The challenge

The demolished church site left exposed rebar, concrete slabs, wood, and metal near pedestrian walkways and residential areas. The client needed immediate action to prevent injuries and liability, and landfill tipping fees would escalate with multi-day operations.

Canadian Shield role

Canadian Shield provided same-day full-site clean-up: complete debris removal of concrete, wood, metals, and roofing; heavy equipment mobilization with excavators, skid steers, and tri-axle dumps; safe hauling and transport licensed under Ontario Regulation 347; proper disposal at an MECP-approved landfill; site grading and compaction for future use; and dust and noise control during operations.

Result

The site was 100% cleared in one business day with zero safety incidents. The client avoided multi-day landfill tipping fees, restored public safety, and received a clean, graded property ready for future use.
